The Lundblag

melleigh:

This machine allows anyone to work for minimum wage for as long as they like. Turning the crank on the side releases one penny every 4.97 seconds, for a total of $7.25 per hour. This corresponds to minimum wage for a person in New York. This piece is brilliant on multiple levels, particularly as social commentary. Without a doubt, most people who started operating the machine for fun would quickly grow disheartened and stop when realizing just how little they’re earning by turning this mindless crank. A person would then conceivably realize that this is what nearly two million people in the United States do every day…at much harder jobs than turning a crank. This turns the piece into a simple, yet effective argument for raising the minimum wage.

god damn

Except for, you know, the part where economics comes in and you realize that it devalues currency and minimum wage jobs are a little bit more stimulating than turning a stupid crank. If people will take a 4.50/hr job I think we should be able to pay them that much. 4.50 will increase in value then. This is a noteworthy point I think, but it’s shallow practically.

Anarcho-Collectivism? (Left-sided Libertarian) Not sure what I initially considered my political beliefs to be (well, name wise at any rate) other than rather liberal. More left-sided and liberal than the Dalai Lama, apparently, so there’s that.

Anarcho-Socialism. Was expecting Libertarian Socialism, but apparently I’m more liberal than I thought. |D;

Libertarian Socialism. Huh. Wasn’t exactly sure what I was in political jargon, but I am a bit of believer in the whole “focus on humanity” thing.

Democratic Socialism thats… a little more extreme than i expected

Y so leftist Katie. I am disappoint.2.25 Right, -3.95 DownGo go Libertarianism!

zed-echo-ro answered your question: Dude, how do/can cute people like me?

because when you’re not being an insufferable ass, you’re witty and amusing, and your glasses make you look like a hipster.

That’s so… nice(?) of you to say…
I’ll take it as a compliment.

Dude, how do/can cute people like me?

I have such a repulsive personality and it takes so long to get to not think I’m awful for most people, I have no idea how this person just liked me right off the bat.

I am very libertarian. By the way.

You Still Lost.

People who think not electing Romney was a victory frustrate me. Obama is a corporate tool too. You didn’t win. Either one would continue doing horrible crap with the Patriot act and killing innocent people in the middle East.
